On Saturday, September 17th, the Garland Foodies are setting up a Food Truck Festival benefiting Cub Scout Pack 1978. They are raising funds to buy new camping equipment (tent, sleeping bags, cookware, etc.), replace the Pinewood Derby track, as well as well as start a fund to provide financial aide to families who are unable to pay for their child’s uniform and Pack dues.
LIMITED TO 10 FOOD TRUCKS/TRAILERS
We are looking for 10 food trucks of varying menu items to participate in this event. As with the Garland Foodies Food Truck Festival, all food trucks must be self-contained, provide their own water, electricity, and ice. Please no extra tents/canopies, tables or chairs. There will be a tent, with tables and chairs, set up in a designated area for guests to dine at.

(This is just blocks from Downtown Garland, so it is a centralized location to ALL of Garland.)

Sign-up Fee:
$150.00 per food truck/trailer
Other events:
• The scouts will have a carnival games set-up
• Merchandise vendors
• City of Garland Animal Services
• Fire and police departments will be on-hand with trucks/ambulance/squad cars
This will be advertised through the Boy Scouts of America, reaching hundreds, if not thousands of families in the N. Texas area, as well as on the Garland Foodies Facebook page. The Duck Creek Council of Boys Scouts is one of the largest in the region. Turnout is expected to be large for this one-day event. We are also looking the partner with the City of Garland, who will also put it out through the City’s Social Media outlets. There should be ample opportunity for each food truck to make some money.
